In reference to the comments on my last post:
Crap Charlie, take a freaking pill. Do you see the rivers of snot pouring out of this baby? I haven't exactly had time to post with such a little sickling. Not to mention Kansas DOESN'T have Internet, Mom! Hell, they just got indoor plumbing last week. ;-)
As for Normy's cold, he's actually doing much better, thank God. Santa brought him his very first cold for Christmas. What a treat. He was MISERABLE. I had no idea how painful it was as a parent to watch your kid struggle with the sniffles. I used to be so cavalier about germs. His pacifier would fall on the ground (in our home) and I would pick it up, lick it, and put it back in his mouth. If old ladies in the grocery store wanted to pinch his cheeks and hold his fat little fingers I gladly offered him up. I thought: Whatever, I want to build up his immune system. Better he get a taste of germs now than in Preschool. I had no idea how brutal it was to see mucus pour unchecked out of your poor little baby. Wow, and congested kid = sleepless nights. Who would have guessed?
Well I've learned my lesson. No more playing with the salt shaker at the Texas Roadhouse for Normy. I have recently joined the anti-germ crusade. Keep your sniffley little three year old away from my baby. I don't care how sweet it is that she wants to give him kisses. I am the new Lysol toting, anti-bacterial hand gel loaded, clean-freak mom. From now on I'm going to be one of those women who flush the public toilet with my foot and push open the bathroom door with the paper towel I used after I washed my hands. I mean business!
Sorry, I haven't more pictures for you just yet. They are all on Smoochy's external hard drive and he's taking a nap right now. Maybe tomorrow, if you're lucky! Crap people, I was just taking a little blog-break! But, I'm back on it. Tomorrow, pictures.

You tell 'im Becca!
Charlie needs a little kicking around every so often anyway.
Heh....
Sorry to see that Normy's turned into a snot generator. Welcome to the grimier parts of parent-hood!
Love to you and Da Kid, a hand-shake to Old What's 'Is Name...WARD
Awwww..we have been dealing with a cold over here too. It is no fun, escpecially wiping noses. I'm pretty sure he thinks I am trying to torture him.
I know how you feel. I now keep disinfectant wipes Iespecially for shopping carts and changing tables)as well as hand sanitizer in the diaper bag and keep the snotty kids away. I am the mom you write about. I flush the toilets with my feet and use the paper towel to open the bathroom door - but even with all that, sometimes a cold is just inevitable! Oh yes, and the sleepless nights aren't much help to mom who needs the energy to care for her sick child during the day! I hope he starts feeling better soon!
I _love_ the lipstick pix. SO CUTE.
Happy New Year...
Hh
There is nothing more irritating than people not respecting your wishes with what your kid plays with. At least it wasn't dirty shoelaces,(yes I really had to go there with someone this Christmas. They were going to let Sam put them in his mouth. YUCKY!) It was so awesome to finally meet you, and hopefully it can happen more often in the future. I posted new pics to just for your FYI. Jacob said I am about to be booted off your list. ;-)
Love,
Amber
Lila just finished with her first round of this sniffles/snotty nose and unfortunately for us, hers turned into double ear infections. Just be glad Normy didn't have to go through that.
Hope Normy's feeling back to his old cheerful, non-snuffly self.
Henry also has a case of the snot river and chesty cough. Boo. That's a weekend with kids and snow gets you, I guess.
Also, Becca--you've been tagged for a book-related meme!
Becca - I read Baby Catcher. Loved it!!!!!! Thank you so much for recommending it. In fact, I liked it so much I thought about becoming a midwife for a few minutes....until I remembered the sight of blood makes me faint. So ha! Not gonna happen.
But anyway, sorry to hear abt little Normy's cold. Dh is our in-house germ-o-phobe, always at the ready with Purel! I am more cavalier about germs, but I'm kind of a hermit, so Baby E just doesn't get exposed to much.
Can you believe how fast these kiddos grow? Baby E hit 7 months today! **Moan**
