April Fool's Day...

I thought I might log-on and post: "I am taking down the blog due to my complete lack of interest in it, bla bla bla, thanks for reading, I'll miss you all." and then come back with a big "HA HA! April Fool's! Gottch'ya Suckas!" But I decided that I'm just not that cool and no one would buy it any way. Besides, I bet all across the internet fellow bloggers are pulling the exact same gag. However, I bet there are some wacky and original Internet-pranks going on right now. If anyone comes across a fun one I'd love to read it!

As for us. Get this: Smoochy quit his job. This is NOT an April Fool's Joke, folks. This is the real deal. The Smoochy Family is leaving California and heading East. I'll have to fill you in on the details as they unfold. Right now Smoochy doesn't have another job lined up though he is checking out possibilities through a head-hunter. The real plan however, is to get into the electrical contracting industry and eventually own his own company. We shall see. I feel like it's all pretty up in the air right now. Some of the recent jobs the head-hunter had put under his nose smell rather inviting. In any event, we will all be Florida residents as of May 1st. Look out Sunshine State, here comes the Smoochy's!

In other news. I am officially "on call" for my client as of today. I am so excited, nervous, giddy, anxious, and generally thrilled that at any moment I could get called away to help her through her labor! When we get to Florida, I want to get a vanity plate that says: "Go Doula". How cute would that be!? I'm getting ahead of myself now. I suppose I should at least get though my first birth before I start decking out my birth-mobile. Anyway, my birth bag is packed, I have a cute doula-tee to wear, and my birth-ball is ready for action, as you can see:

I thought of you the other day when my pastor's wife told me that she and her husband use a doula for one very important reason: they would kill each other without the doula in the room. Sounds practical.

I love the bouncing baby boy video.

Yay for moving east! I guess b/c I grew up in the southeast, I am much more partial to this part of the country; can't see why anyone would want to live anywhere else.

Wow! Go away for a few days and look what happens. :) Yay for moving east. Where in FL are you going to move. I hear your old house is going up for sale (or it already is) in case you want to come back to GA. I would love to have you as neighbors again. Just think. Free babysitting for date night. ;)

Hey Moogie...do you really want Jacob again as a neighbor? Becca and baby Jacob I can understand. Only kidding Jacob. We are thrilled you are coming east. We've missed you so much and are looking forward to seeing you much more often!
Love you guys!
