Life here at the Smoochy house has taken on an amazingly stressful and chaotic feel. Pictures are off the walls, clothes are out of drawers, and there are boxes as far as the eye can see. Our last day in California is less than two weeks away; and I can't imagine how we are ever going to cram in all the things that must happen or be accomplished between now and then.
Yesterday Smoochy flew to Atlanta for an interview and then tonight he flies on to the D.C. area for still another exciting prospect! His job hunt is full steam ahead.
And of course, as soon as his plane was no longer visible on the horizon my client's water broke. If it wasn't for the kindness and generosity of some incredible friends here, I wouldn't be making this birth.
However, now 19 hours later her labor is still a sort of prodromal, rambling, and non-progressing. Luckily for her, there is only a small tear in her membranes, and so there is plenty of amniotic fluid cushioning her baby, and protecting her from threatening hints at induction. So far she has been steadfastly refusing intervention from the comfort and safety of her home...
Well, I've got to run... Normy and his friends just got home from their walk...sorry, long story.

Hey! I was wondering whether you had your first doula experience yet. SO exciting. Noa and I are in Michigan, Jeremy will be on his way in a day or so. I can totally relate to the chaos surrounding packing and moving. I can't wait to hear more,
Much love,
Kellie
I hope your move goes smoothly.
Change can be nervewracking but sooo exciting.
Love the pic of Normy.
That needs to be enlarged & framed & hung on your wall. Well, until Normy is old enough to go "Oh Mom....will you get rid of that picture!!" :)
That is the most adorable picture of Normy. Did you take it or was it done by a professional? I'm happy to hear that all is well. Good luck to Jacob on his job hunt!

Wow...not too long to go now. I hope the move goes smoothly. When will you be heading up our way for a visit? :)
Can't wait to hear about your Doula experience!
Oh my gosh, I can't believe you guys are moving too. We seem to just do EVERYTHING the same! We're moving also! This weekend actually. Our house is an absolute mess too! Well, congrats and good luck!
I hope the move goes as planned. I'm a little curious though...you're moving to Florida, but your husband is interviewing in non-FL cities...what's up with that??
That picture is awesome! There is an updated posting on my blog now, equipped with picture of our new place and our new puppy.
