So how are our health improvements going?

It depends how you look at it.

Yesterday I bought and ground my own grain... then made cookies with the flour.

We had fish for dinner... pan-fried in butter.

I had some red wine for my heart... two maybe three glasses.

I'm on my 4th unsweetened cup of coffee today.

Oh well.

Rome wasn't built in a day you know! Anyway, I'm off to get my daily excersise... walking around Super Target!

so... how healthy are the processed sugars that went into that 24 pack of dr. pepper? and i think little jacob knows when his cookie is not make with sugary awesomeness...

but seriously, i hope you succeed with your healthier living plan! at least you are actually trying, so thats better than most of our population! and i never realized how fun it is to make stuff from scratch! we just bought an ice cream maker.. and homemade ice cream tastes wayy better.

Cathy,

I don't know you but I totally agree with you about homemade ice cream. Yum Yum....that is such a simple pleasure of summer time!!

Becca,

Good luck with your healthy eating plan. I'm trying to be better but there is no way I could count out all the stuff you want to. Some things in life are just supposed to be full of sugar and yum yums! LOL...can't wait to meet the littlest one!

Yea, Dr. Pepper and Corona don't exactly make the cut for healthy living, huh? ;-)

What's worse is the Dr. Pepper is for the expressed purpose of mixing with Sailor Jerry Rum!

You're doing great. I did look into the peanut butter thing, and the one I buy doesn't have any trans fat. It's ingredients: peanuts. I buy it from Trader Joe's. Just an FYI. Good for you for baking from scratch, literally. Estela
