Seriously, this first trimester is wiping me out. Growing a baby is one thing, but growing the placenta is another. A friend of mine reminded me the other day, that it was forming a whole new organ in under 12 weeks that truly makes the first trimester exhausting work. I'm feeling it for sure. I could sleep all day long. My most productive time of the day has been repurposed for napping... you can imagine what my laundry piles look like. I have been finding the time to cook and clean the kitchen... but that's about it. Anyway, I'm 10 weeks along, so hopefully in a couple of weeks I'll be feeling my old self again. In the mean time bear with me.
However, here are some cute pictures from today:

We decided to make sugar cookies for dinner. Healthy choices, people!
After the cookie dough was in the fridge doing it's obligatory chill, the kids disappeared for some light reading.

A smile. A laugh. (Several in fact!) You made my day! May the stork be with you!
Sending happy preggie thoughts your way...I am 12.5 weeks. Nausea is gone, now I am tired all the time. But happy to not be throwing up.
; )

:) I'm with ya sista! All I can do is go to playgroup and sit, come home and nap, eat dinner, and go back to bed! I can't even cook - the thought of raw meat is making me nauseous as we speak! I will take it as a good sign! Here's to growing placentas!
Hope you feel better soon.
Becca, don't forget how life is for you right now. Most likely, your "productivity" will look about the same once that little one comes, and possibly even for a year thereafter (in my experience, that is--just now feeling as if my head's above water most days--now that she's almost 18 months!).
Don't mean to scare you, but that third child really knocked me out. Three tiny ones is a whole new ball game, if you ask me (and no, you didn't, so I should just shut up!).
Good to see you're all doing okay!
