Everything is quiet and grey. Well, mostly quiet. Smoochy is home early watching a movie in the basement, the sound of which is sending little waves through the house. Lola is chatting herself to sleep. The big kids are sawing logs. I'm a little sad for no reason. Maybe because I am putting away the Christmas decorations. I think I need a late afternoon coffee... with chocolate and one of those otherwise-destined-for-the-trash candy canes.
I'll see you Monday with a fresh clean house and a new outlook. Cheers!

It will feel so nice to have a clean house after the x-mas decorations get put away. I put the last bit up yesterday and I was a little sad. Today, however, has felt like the beginning of the fresh start to 2011. Clean and ready to conquer whatever comes next. Miss you girl... it's snowing here too.
Love seeing what new things you are doing with this blog! The big pictures are the best! Putting away Christmas is always bitter sweet.
I felt a little down in the dumps today too. Guess the gray skies led to a gray mood. Here's looking forward to a new day hopefully filled with sunshine.
Oh Becca, I felt the same when our Christmas tree came down just last Sunday. I was so proud of myself for getting all of the decorations up by December 2nd and finally making my wreath (which I had bought all of the parts for over 5 or 6 years ago). I just didn't want this Christmas to end since it was the first that Lucas actually understood all of the way through and understood about Santa:) I'm beginning to love this age.
