I've been trying to get all the puzzle pieces of my life to fit together just right. Like a juggler with too many plates in the air, something is bound to drop. Yesterday it was the blog. Today is heading in that same direction. So, I thought I'd pop in to tell the me in the future re-reading about the days back in 2011... YOU WERE FREAKING BUSY!!!

Besides meeting the physical, emotional, and educational needs of three little people there is of course mountains of laundry, three meals to be made, consumed, and cleaned-up after, shuttling to pre-school, speech therapy, doctors appointments, grocery store, post office... you know what this job is like.

Of course, the problem is that I want to be reading, thinking, and planning for my honey bees. Or sewing Normy's apron, spackling and painting the bathroom, working on Georgia's doll or just about anything but the work at hand.

The problem with too many hobbies is that nothing ever gets done. And, I've never been good about choosing. In high school I was in drama, the orchestra, and the jazz band. The result: I never memorized my lines, sucked at the stand up bass, and REALLY sucked at the electric bass. Not much has changed.

Well, today is all about getting caught up with the house stuff... I keep thinking there is going to come this magical point when everything will be done. The floors will all be clean, the laundry will all be done, I will have a freezer full of  dinners, and a pantry full of baked goods.... then it will just stay that way. Or at least that I will get on some fantastic routine whereby a manageable amount of energy is expended daily to keep the whole show running smoothly. The later is certainly more attainable.

"Hmmm... I see Normy doing this all the time. How does this work?"

Anyway, Lola is sleeping so now's the time to fold the clothes, make some hummus, pack for our errands and drink more coffee. Here's to your hump-day. I hope we all manage to be productive today!!!! (And have a reasonable amount of fun in the process!)

I have never figured out how to get it all done!....I made and froze 14 breakfast burritos yesterday...that was about it...the kitchen looks like a bomb hit it (i'm getting used to that), Oh, and I folded some laundry, not that I put it away, but it's folded, and I took my 11yr old to get a haircut he hates...ugh...tweens!...and, I got to luxuriate in the feeling this morning when Ben slept through the night last night...I've said it once and I"ll say it again, moms have the hardest job!
